When coaching isn't enough, remediation is the decision rule Part 5
Language patterns for documenting remediation objectively — and the loaded words to swap out.
How you document remediation matters as much as the plan itself. Sherley gives example sentences using observable, measurable, time-stamped language ('During today's observation, the technician completed X of Y steps on the fidelity checklist'; 'After modeling and rehearsal, performance increased from __% to __%') and lists loaded words to swap — replace 'careless,' 'lazy,' 'doesn't care,' or 'not confident' with 'did not initiate,' 'did not follow sequence,' or 'arrived without materials.' Watch the full clip for the swap list.
